This case involved a claim by an employee for unpaid wages. It was argued the employee had no employment relationship with the company as he did not work in Bahrain on a daily basis and worked in Saudi. This was irrelevant as wages paid by two cheques proved there was an employment relationship.

Background

An employee filed a case against a company before the court claiming that he was working for the company as an accountant and the company failed to pay his wages. The employee requested the company pay his entitlements in addition to compensation.

The court dismissed the case.

The employee appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court dismissed the appealed ruling and ruled the company should pay the employee 5875 Dinars and interest.
