Landlord – Tenant – Eviction – Tenancy Agreement
This case involved whether a tenant should be evicted because their tenancy agreement had ended and there had been no agreement to extend. The location of the property impacted whether this was the case.
Background
A landlord filed a case against a tenant before the court requesting the tenant vacate a rented shop. The landlord said that the tenant had rented the shop for five years and that the two parties did not agree on the renewal of the tenancy agreement. The landlord said that they sent the tenant a notice to vacate the shop but they failed to do so.
The court dismissed the case.
The landlord appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court dismissed the appealed ruling and ruled that the tenant should vacate the rented shop.
