Background
An employee filed a case against a bank before the court requesting the bank pay his entitlements and compensation. The employee said that the bank unfairly dismissed him from his job.
The bank said that the employee had failed to commit to his obligations because he cashed a forged cheque for 16000 Dinars. The bank filed a case against the employee before the court requesting he pay the amount and 7% interest.
The court ruled that the bank should pay the employee 224.224 Dinars and holiday pay. The court ruled that the employee should pay the bank 16000 Dinars and 1% interest.
The employee appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court amended the appealed ruling and ruled the company should pay the employee 522.498 Dinars.
The employee and the company appealed the ruling before the court of cassation.
