Litigation Procedure – Reconsideration – Landlord – Tenant – Rent – Notification
The original dispute involved a request for a tenant to pay rent and interest. The tenant's request for reconsideration of the case was rejected as they were unable to prove the landlord had purposefully provided the wrong notification address for them in order to prevent them from providing a defence.
Background
A landlord filed a case against a tenant before the court requesting the tenant pay him rent of 945 Dinars and interests for September 2001 to July 2002.
The court dismissed the case.
The landlord appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court dismissed the appealed ruling and ruled that the tenant should pay the amount and interest.
The tenant made a request for reconsideration to the court. The court dismissed the request.
