This case involved whether some heirs were due to pay a lawyer who had litigated cases for their father an amount the father had agreed. On the death of the litigant the agreement between them and the lawyer ended and did not automatically transfer to their heirs.
Background
A lawyer filed a case against the heirs of a deceased man before the court requesting they pay 2066.5 Dinars. The lawyer said that he defended a case on the heirs' father's behalf and that he agreed to pay 10% of the awarded amount. The lawyer said that the heirs suspended the execution proceedings without consulting him.
The court dismissed the case due to the statute of limitations.
The lawyer appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court upheld the appealed ruling.
