Samantha Abou Harb is a PhD researcher in Private International Law at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), Lebanon. Her research adopts a comparative approach to private international law and international commercial law, with a focus on French, Lebanese, and common law systems, as well as the interpretation and application of international instruments governing cross-border transactions.

She has authored and co-authored scholarly publications in these fields.

She holds a master’s degree in business law (2023) from USEK and the University of Poitiers, graduating first in her cohort with distinction, as well as a master’s degree in Private Law (2021), also obtained with distinction and ranked first in her cohort. She has been listed on the Dean’s Distinction List and received a Certificate of Distinction from the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education (2019), in recognition of academic excellence and top-ranking performance.

In 2025, she attended the Hague Academy of International Law under a full scholarship and received the First Prize in the Middle East Doctoral Days following the oral presentation of her doctoral project.

Her experience includes serving as a judge in international moot court competitions, including the Oxford Price Media Law Moot Court Competition. She has participated in academic research and training programmes in international law and comparative legal studies. She previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Legal Research Center of USEK and has more than two years of teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant in Private International Law, Contract Law, Introduction to Law, and International Contracts.

Her work is grounded in doctrinal legal analysis, with a strong comparative approach across French, Lebanese, and common law systems, and a broader focus on global developments in transnational legal frameworks.
