Jonathan is a Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax, LLP and has more than ten years’ experience advising businesses on R&D tax credits across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK. With an engineering background, he brings a practical lens to identifying eligible R&D activity, working effectively with technical teams and embedding efficient, robust claim processes. Jonathan has supported organizations ranging from early-stage businesses to large, listed groups across sectors including software, financial services, manufacturing and engineering. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, he worked at Grant Thornton and BDO, where he led Grant Thornton’s UK Central R&D offering and BDO’s UK R&D engineering team, and developed claim methodologies designed to withstand tax authority scrutiny.
