Burak Eryigit, a dual qualified (civil and common law) commercial lawyer and arbitration specialist, is a special counsel in the London and Middle Eastern offices of K&L Gates. He focuses his practice on international arbitration, dispute resolution, energy, construction and infrastructure projects, as well as working with clients on front-end commercial and contractual issues.
Burak has extensive experience in commercial, construction, investor-state and gas price review arbitrations. He has acted for clients in many institutional and ad hoc arbitrations seated in numerous jurisdictions (including the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and South America) and subject to various governing laws. His experience also includes advising on first-of-their-kind groundbreaking projects in jurisdictions where the legal and regulatory framework has not yet fully developed, drawing upon his broad experience to guide clients on possible scenarios they could encounter, anticipating controversial legal issues and identifying gaps in the law.
